Electric Bloom

Electric Bloom

The city had been a long winter, hadn’t it? A relentless grey that seeped into your bones and frosted over any chance of warmth. I felt like a dormant seed, buried too deep to ever reach the sun.
Then you walked in – a sudden burst of static electricity on a still night. Annoying at first, that little spark. Unexpected. But then… warming. You had this way of looking at me, as if seeing the hidden roots beneath the surface, understanding the long months of cold I’d endured.
I hadn't known how much color had faded until you brought it back in shades of laughter and shared silences.
Now? Now, even a single touch feels like a current running through my veins, blossoming into something wild and untamed. It scares me, this growth, this feeling… but mostly, I’m terrified of the coming frost.
